Included with this scope are a set of gorgeous "E" & "O" case colored scope blocks for the 1903 Springfield rifle, with four correct length mounting screws!The roll stamp markings on this scope are:J Unertl1764USMC - SNIPERThis scope is not a WWII USMC 8x Unertl 1-1/4" objective 24" o.a.l. Externally the blueing on the objective bell & sunshade is good the 3/4” main tube blueing has areas of blueing that is thinning, and the main tube has significant tracking marks from the sliding mounts wearing through the blueing into white steel! Also, the eyepiece has areas of blueing that is thinning.

The knurled locking knobs on the bases of the mounts with the tubular locking sleeves that lock into the Unertl scope blocks are undamaged and correctly engage into the Unertl scope blocks. The front sliding and rear micrometer mounts are in good condition with fading color on the color anodizing of the windage & elevation micrometer knob’s scales to a brownish-gold color, probably from perspiration. The micrometer knobs click audibly and you can feel the detents through your finger-tips when turning the knobs. The front sliding mount and the rear micrometer mounts are the WWII production black anodized extruded aluminum mounts used on the WWII USMC 8X Unertl 1-1/4” objective sniper scope. The scope includes both original Unertl metal screw-in lens caps. This Unertl 8X target scope is 22" long, with a 1" diameter objective lens and a 3/4” diameter main scope tube.
